Brand Review: The Ordinary.

For those of you who haven’t heard of The Ordinary, it is a revolutionary skincare/makeup brand that takes all of the BS out of the industry. They have released many products that are all under $15. All of the products I have tried by them were amazing. The packaging is very simple and looks like it could be high end.

I bought mine off of but they have started selling The Ordinary on They do not sell in the Sephora stores, I actually heard about the brand from a clerk in Sephora and she was telling me that Sephora will never have The Ordinary in stores because then there wouldn’t be a reason for people to buy anything else. I personally love this brand because I truly believe that everyone needs to take care of their skin and this brand makes it so that no one has the excuse of skincare being too expensive. I know this brand almost seems gimmicky because it is so cheap, but trust me it is legit.

I purchased three products from The Ordinary because I already had a good toner, foundation, moisturizer, etc. but I still wanted to test out the brand so I got the Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%, the Argireline Solution 10%, and the High-Spreadability Fluid Primer (I’ll link them below). The Ordinary names their products with exactly what is in them so that there is zero BS, but it does make things confusing for people that do not know what any of that is. Do not be discouraged though because the ordinary also has a guide for what you need based on your skin type with a detailed how/when to apply each product.

Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%: I started using this product because I realized that my skincare routine was lacking a Vitamin C serum. This one is the most powerful serum offered by The Ordinary. If your skin is more on the sensitive side I would recommend getting on with a lower dosage of vitamin C. The serum does make my skin tingle. I would suggest that if you are new to using a vitamin C serum you should apply it every other day at first. I really like this serum it does a great job of improving radiance while preventing signs of aging.

The Argireline Solution 10%: This is a serum that is for improving fine lines. It is gentle enough to put around the eye area. I tend to put this on my forehead, eye area, and sometimes around my mouth for smile lines. The directions do not say when to apply this, but I apply it after my toner and before moisturizer. I have noticed a difference in my fine lines since I have used this product. (I got this from but it is currently out of stock so there is not a link to it, but you can find information about it from the TheOrdinary Guide in the Fine Lines and Wrinkles Link).

The High-Spreadability Fluid Primer: This might be my new favorite primer. It is light enough to wear without makeup to diminish the look of pores, but it also looks great under my makeup. It reminds me of the Smashbox clear photo finish primer, but it is not as thick which I prefer.
