My winter skincare routine

I have dry skin and it only gets worse in the winter. I have learned a couple things over the last few years that help me to have fairly clear and glowy skin year round. One of the things I started doing is switching around my products as the seasons change. During the winter I switch to more moisturizing products, but my skin is typically more acne prone in the winter so I have to stay away from products that have a lot of oils added.

During the day I still use the same witch hazel toner by Thayers Natural Remedies, but I switch my moisturizer to the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel and I add a few drops of the Glossier Super Bounce Serum. Then I typically follow-up with a moisturizing primer when I put makeup on. A really good moisturizing primer is the Two-Faced Hangover Primer or the MakeUp Forever Step 1 Hydrating Primer.

My secret weapon is the Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber Gel Mask (I’ll link it below!) I typically sleep with it on whenever I notice that my skin is starting to look a little dry and by the time I wake up my skin has soaked in all of the moisture. I also like it because a lot of masks that are for hydrating lead me to break out but this one is also for acne prone skin so I never have that problem. I do not notice that much of a difference when I use this mask during the day for the recommended time, but when I use it at night it is life changing!
